Professor in the school of Tourism and Hospitality at Royal Roads University in Victoria, Dr. White shares with us his decades of experience living and learning along the West Coast.

The Tofino Clayoquot Heritage Museum presents: The Historic Tofino Walking Tour

Looking for something exciting and educational to do this fall? Look no further than our Historic Tofino Walking Tour! Jjoin us on a tour of Tofino's waterfront and town center, learning about the rich local, environmental, and cultural history.

Tickets can be purchased at the Tofino Clayoquot Heritage Museum for $10 per person. There are two tour times that run each Wednesday:

Recent Event: Visit our tent at Gust of Wind, Tofino's Friday Night Market!

In honor of Tofino Surf Fest, the Tofino Clayoquot Heritage Museum hosted a pop-up tent at Gust of Wind, Tofino's Friday Night Market Friday, July 26th, 2024! Our tent was set up and ran from 5:00pm - 9:00pm.

We showcased some of our current exhibition, Riding the Wave: Pacific Rim Surf Stories, for guests to check out. Viewing was free of charge, and guests explored the surf exhibit panels on a great, sunny Friday evening!

We sold Tofino Museum merchandise as well as merchandise from mułaa, Rising Tide Surf Team. Merchandise sales and donations will be accepted by CASH ONLY. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you there!


Recent Event: Surf Movie Double Screening at the Tofino Legion!

On Monday, July 22nd, The Tofino Clayoquot Heritage Museum, in collaboration with Monday Night Movies, is thrilled to announce a Surf-themed double header film screening! Come watch the 2 films, "SHRINK" and "The Impossible Wave" to celebrate surfing in the community as well as the opening of the museum's exhibition Riding the Wave: Pacific Rim Surf Stories.

The film screening will be held at the Tofino Legion Branch 65 (331 Main Street, Tofino). Tickets are $10, with all proceeds supporting the Tofino Museum. Doors open at 7:00pm, with the first film starting at 7:30pm.

There will be great door prizes and Warren's Organic Concession available!

This is a great event to celebrate surfing within Tofino, also known as the Surf Capital of Canada.

Current Exhibition: Riding the Wave, Pacific Rim Surf Stories

Tofino is widely known as the surf capital of Canada. This exhibition explores some of the key places, surfers, and events that helped popularize surfing in our community and made it part of our identity. The exhibition runs from July 14th to August 25th.

Join the Tofino Clayoquot Heritage Museum for the exhibition opening on July 14th, 2024 at 4:30pm - 6:30pm.

Located at the South parking lot outside of the Legion building. The event is free and open to the public.
